1/15/22 UPDATE: The Greenwood Student Council would like to say a sincere thank you to all who participated in Colorado Spirit Day. Thank you for showing your Colorado spirit by wearing Colorado attire and for contributing to the Boulder County Wildfire Fund. In one day, our school raised $3,472.69! Together, we exceeded our goal and we were able to show our neighbors in Boulder County that Greenwood Grizzlies care. Thank you, Grizzlies, for making such a significant difference for others.
In collaboration with Cherry Creek High School student leaders, the Greenwood Student Council would like to invite all Greenwood students and staff to come together as we show support for Boulder County residents impacted by recent wildfires.
On Wednesday, January 12, 2022, EVERYONE is invited to wear Colorado spirit wear. This could be shirts with Colorado flags, sweatshirts with the names of your favorite mountain towns, Stock Show attire, Colorado sports team apparel, etc. If your outfit of choice communicates a positive Colorado spirit, it qualifies!
In addition, students and staff who would like to make a cash donation to the Boulder Valley Wildfire Fund can bring their cash donation to school on this day. Students may want to make this contribution from their allowance. We have set a goal of $763. This amount represents the number of Greenwood students multiplied by two. Each classroom will be given a special collection envelope decorated by the Greenwood Student Council and will collect funds through Friday, January 14, 2022.
All collected funds will be sent to the Boulder Valley Wildfire Fund. If you or your family would like to contribute directly to the fund, click below:
We look forward to seeing everyone showing their Colorado spirit on Wednesday, January 12, 2022!
